Averagely good ramen with good consistency. I've been there quite a few times for convenient and they are always at the same quality. They are not the best in Chicago, but good enough that I always go back. Eggs are cooked right. Good broth and good meat, although it could be softer and more melty. Don't get their mochi though, Trader Joe's are way better! Good amount of Japanese whiskey on the menu.

Excellent service and the ramen was phenomenal. Clean flavors, great noodles, tons of flavor. Seats go fast, but it's worth waiting.

I've had great Ramen in Tokyo and Osaka, but I have to say Ramen Takeya is greater than those I had in Japan!

Delicious simple ramen! The broth has good flavor and it’s not overwhelming in flavor. The meat is very tender and compliments the broth very nicely. Would definitely come again! The place is quite small but large compared to other Japanese restaurants. It is a little misleading thought because there is no sign outside that says Takeya. Service is also good!

The interior design is amazing. I loved everything about it. The food was great, I would just recommend getting the extra noodle option. Great use of space for a narrow location. With that being said, expect a bump or 2 when walking about or pulling out seats. Very solid business. You can see the cooks behind glass with seating available along side it. Wouldnt exactly go in groups larger than 4 but again, very solid spot. Going on a date? Come here. (Dim lights & tiny candles on the tables)

Neat place with ample seating. We sat at the community table. But they seemed to turn over tables pretty quickly, probably could have moved to a private table if we wanted. My friends complained about her pork being cold, but she didn't say anything. The temperature of mine was fine, I would have liked it a little hotter. Over all delicious!

So good! This is a favorite place for lunch. Food tastes great, service is pleasant. Have not been disappointed. Recommended highly.

The exterior of this ramen joint is so plain you would miss it if you weren’t looking for it. I was absolutely blown away how good the food here was. Their karaage is full of flavour, tender and juicy with a nice thin crispy batter. This is clearly one of the best restaurants in the area. Every time I go there I am incredibly pleased. They always keep their high level service and the highest level of food they offer. You will be always satisfied with this restaurant. Warmly recommended.

Some of the best ramen in Fulton! We also got “Octopus Balls” with eerily moving fish flakes, freshly made fried dumplings and some of the best tempura’d “chicken nuggets” I have ever had. While not extensive, they had a dozen or so Japanese whisky pours. A 2oz glass of 12 year to go with your perfectly spiced hot bowl of ramen on a cold Feb day really hit the spot!

I celebrated my graduation today in this delicious restaurant. happy to tell that it was a phenomenal evening and the restaurant was absolutely the reason for that fruitful evening. The waiters collaborated in a very nice manner, the meals were appetizing and my guests were extremely thrilled. We shall no dout return for more joyful events. thanks very much.

The ramen here is absolutely divine! The spicy chicken paitan ramen has a beautiful rich chicken broth that’s perfectly spicy (but not overly hot), plenty of vegetable toppings, a perfectly soft boiled egg, lots of noodles, and 2 slices of tender char siu pork belly. On top of that, the fried chicken buns were insanely good, and I wish I had more! New favorite ramen joint in Chicago!

Unbelievable spot! Their specialty is a chicken-focused broth but have multiple delicious choices. My favorite dish was not the ramen but actually the pork belly char siu bun, which came with japanese mayo and romaine. The braised Berkshire pork belly was PERFECTLY tender and I didn't even want to chew because there was so much flavor to soak in. Honestly, probably one of the best dishes I've had all year. The fried chicken with spicy mayo was also delicious. The gyoza comes with the same pork and is delicious, and the miso vinaigrette adds great acidic and umami flavors. I would go with the buns though if there was a choice.

We love going out. Yesterday we found this delicious restaurant which we didn’t know before. We enjoyed a delightful evening there with delicious meal and an experienced stuff and a great chief cook. We put this place in our phone list and we shall surely come back soon. Highly recommended.

Had a great experience in this spot with my kid. The food comes out quickly and the service is just good. Prices are fair.

This spot is my preferred one. I visit plenty of restaurants but here I keep coming back again and again. The team is very receptive and the cuisine they place on your table is so flavorful. I never miss an opportunity to have a decent meal in this restaurant. I highly recommend this place.

We had an excellent at this place. We liked the superb vibes and the meals. The staff members were super friendly. I am happy we ultimately decided to visit this spot.

it's probably worth the money I couldn't tell. the food was very good but don't expect typical prices. they're not exorbitant, but they were expensive. they had a number of really interesting rolls by the look of it, but I was priced out. nonetheless, we had a pleasant evening. thre service was good. the foods we got was also good. the decor is nice

Small Ramen joint located in fulton market. Gets crowded during the weekends, wait time is expected. We waited for about 40 mins on saturday but it was worth itWe tried spicy Paitan and Miso bowl those were really good with sake and hibiki drink. Definitely recommend!!

We eat a LOT of ramen, and we still come back to Ramen Takeya over and over again (I generally make it a rule to try new things as much as possible, so this is kind of a big deal!). Especially now, during the pandemic, I know it’s been tough for restaurants to adapt, but Ramen Takeya has been going so far out of their way for their customers. They also take no contact really seriously and took it upon themselves to post signs allowing only one person inside at a time early on. Some restaurants we’ve tried have been a little unorganized (understandably so, but still, easily fixable issues like crowding) - but not Ramen Takeya. Even this last time they fulfilled my dream request of an extra yuzu boost (my favorite) even though it wasn’t on the menu. And the Ramen travels well and is still just as good (albeit, I still miss the atmosphere dining in). Thanks for all you’re doing and can’t wait to come back again soon!

Had the two vegan options available, which were great and delicious.Not 5 star, since there were only 2 options, and portion sizes seemed smaller/more expensive than other asian or ramen spots.

Very good Ramen. Their chicken and mayo sauce is very delicious. If you’re not a big fan of pork, you can always substitute the protein for chicken. Great service and great music!

Very good ramen! We stepped in after checking reviews and it was actually full of people, during a Wednesday day...good sign! They also have a selection of Japanese whiskey, so probably cocktails aren't bad too.

Best Ramen place in the West loop. We all enjoyed are Ramen including our vegetarians. Several of us enjoyed adding extra corn and extra molten egg. We also liked the chicken mantou buns.

Probably best ramen in Chicago and my new favourite outside of Japan. Good selection of meals and reasonable prices. Wait staff was really very nice and helpful with suggestions. The interior looks eye-pleasing.
